In India, a two-year undergraduate programe in X-ray technology is available. It deals with electromagnetic radiation that enters the human body and uses photographic film to portray solid things. Pursuing this course teaches students how to do laboratory tests, general radiography, electrocardiograms, and a variety of other procedures using electromagnetic radiation technologies.

A diploma in X-ray technology teaches students how to properly prepare a patient for X-rays and ECG procedures, as well as how to perform them safely.
