About this course

A BSc program is divided into two types: BSc Honours and BSc General or Pass. The former focuses on a single significant topic. The curriculum is aimed to place a greater emphasis on the Honours topic while also including subjects or papers from students’ optional studies. The goal of the BSc Honours program is to provide students with academic, practical, and research capabilities.

The BSc General curriculum, on the other hand, provides students with a foundational understanding of the major Science topics. Although the curriculum is less rigorous, it incorporates both academic and practical elements.

Following are some of the most common job roles that BSc graduates can pursue following graduation:

  • Research Scientist: A research scientist is in charge of conducting and analysing data gathered from laboratory tests and investigations. Government labs, specialised research organisations, and environmental organisations are all possible places for a research scientist to work.
  • Scientific Assistant: A scientific assistant is a person who assists a scientist during his or her research.
  • Quality Control Manager: A quality control manager ensures that a company’s products fulfil predetermined quality and efficiency criteria. Quality assurance programs are planned, directed, and coordinated by the manager, who also develops various quality control rules.
  • Statistician: A statistician collects and presents various numerical data from a company, assisting in the analysis of quantitative data.
  • Teacher: A science teacher’s responsibilities often include creating lesson plans, assessing student performance, and instructing students using lectures and technology.
  • Technical Writer: A technical writer creates articles, instruction manuals, and other supporting publications in order to effectively communicate technical information.
  • A lab chemist studies chemicals and develops novel molecules that are beneficial in several areas of human life. A lab chemist’s work responsibilities include research and testing.
